Belarus Makes Waves with Historic Beach Pro Tour Gold Win

Belarusian beach volleyball has reached new heights as Aliaksandr Dziadkou and Pavel Piatrushka clinched the country's first gold medal on the Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour at the Qidong Futures event in China. This milestone signals Belarus's debut on the podium in this global competition, highlighting a leap in the country's prowess.

The Belarusian pair stayed undefeated throughout the tournament. They wrapped up the final match with a straight-sets win over Germany's Charlie Peters and Colin Alexander Paszkiewicz, 21-18, 21-17, to claim gold. Their journey to the final included a dominant performance against Australia's Solomon Bushby and Justin Schumann in the semifinals.

Podium Achievements

The men's podium was completed by the German duo earning silver and Greece's Stavros Ntallas and Dimitrios Chatzinikolaou securing bronze. In the women's event, Chinese teams took the lead. Jiang Kaiyue and Zhou Mingli grabbed gold after a tough final against compatriots Kadeliye Halaiti and Qi Siyu.

International Participation

A total of 25 men's and 26 women's teams from 19 countries competed in the Qidong Futures, showing the tournament's international appeal and competitive spirit. Pingtan, China, will host the next stage of the Beach Pro Tour from August 6 to 9. This event offers teams a chance to earn points and gain valuable experience on the international stage.
