Canadian Sisters Snag Bronze at NORCECA Beach Volleyball Tour

Canadian beach volleyball sisters Kaylee and Emma Glagau earned a bronze medal at the fifth stop of the 2025 NORCECA Beach Volleyball Tour, held in Paramaribo, Suriname. The Ontario duo triumphed in the third-place match against Suriname’s Janneke Tammenga and Chagnaz Frankel with a decisive score of 21-9, 21-14.

This result adds to a successful season for Canadian teams competing on the NORCECA (North, Central America, and Caribbean) Tour, as national squads aim to raise their international standing.

Semifinal Setback and Podium Finish

In the semifinal round, the Glagau sisters were narrowly defeated by Mexico’s Susana Torres and Atenas Gutiérrez. That Mexican duo went on to clinch their country's first gold medal of the season, beating Americans Piper Ferch and Erin Inskeep in a thrilling final with scores of 8-21, 21-16, 18-16.

Men’s Tournament Highlights

On the men's side of the tournament:

  • American brothers Taylor and Trevor Crabb won the gold medal.
