The 2025 Rwanda Beach Volleyball National Tour kicked off with vibrant energy in Rwamagana, where top talent from across the region gathered for a thrilling opening leg. Held from December 19 to 21 at the scenic Falcon Golf & Country Club, the tournament delivered high-stakes action and crowned a new group of champions.
Women's Division Highlights
In an electrifying final, Valentine Munezero and Albertine Uwiringiyimana emerged victorious, overcoming Francoise Yankurije and Aliane Nirere in a nail-biting 2-1 set score (21-14, 17-21, 15-08).
The bronze medal match saw Uganda’s Catherine Ainembabazi and Sandra Ayepoa defeat Rwanda’s Angelique Tuyizere and Ingrid Sifa in straight sets (21-19, 21-16), showcasing the rising talent spread across the region.
Men's Division Showdowns
On the men’s side, the unbeaten pair of Paul Akan and Merci Gisubizo clinched gold with a thrilling 2-1 victory (24-22, 14-21, 15-11) over Niyikiza Revis and Mandela Nzirimo.
Meanwhile, Samuel Niyinshima and Vincent Mbonigaba secured third place after a hard-fought 2-1 battle (21-11, 20-22, 15-10) against Cedric Munezero and Kelly Shema.
