USA's beach volleyball pair Kristen Cruz and Taryn Brasher have solidified their standing on the Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour by claiming their third straight victory at the Gstaad Elite in Switzerland. This win marks their third gold in four 2026 tour events, with previous triumphs at the Joao Pessoa and Saquarema Elite. They've now amassed an impressive 14 gold medals, along with four silvers and two bronzes.
The formidable duo emerged victorious in an all-American final against Kelly Cheng and Megan Kraft, securing a 2-0 (21-19, 21-15) win. Cruz and Brasher's achievement in Gstaad highlighted their outstanding performance in the tournament, winning seven matches and losing only one set.
Cheng and Kraft, who also delivered a strong performance, took the silver medal, marking their second podium finish after a bronze at the Joao Pessoa Elite. Dutch duo Katja Stam and Raisa Schoon claimed the bronze, defeating American pair Julia Donlin and Lexy Denaburg, preventing a complete American podium sweep.
The Gstaad event featured 32 women's teams from 13 countries, offering high-level competition. Next, the Beach Pro Tour heads to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from July 29 to August 2, presenting another thrilling opportunity for these top teams to compete globally.
