Czech Duo Svozilova & Stochlova Claim First Gold in Shangluo Beach Pro Tour

The Czech beach volleyball duo, Marketa Svozilova and Marie-Sara Stochlova, celebrated their first gold medal victory on the Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour at the Shangluo Challenge in China. They emerged victorious, claiming the top spot on the women’s podium after a tense final against Ukraine's Valentyna Davidova and Anhelina Khmil.

Performance Highlights

Despite being seeded 10th, Svozilova and Stochlova showcased unwavering determination by winning all of their six matches. The exhilarating final concluded with a 2-1 scoreline (21-16, 17-21, 15-13) in favor of the Czech team. Notably, Stochlova delivered an impressive performance with four kill blocks and two aces, achieving a match-high 23 points. Svozilova also made a significant contribution by scoring 20 points.

Ukraine’s Davidova and Khmil secured the silver medal, marking it as their second medal at the Challenge level. The United States pair, Molly Shaw and Molly Phillips, earned the bronze medal following a three-set battle in the third-place playoff.
