Duda and Ana Patrícia Dominate on Beach Pro Tour Comeback in Montreal

Duda and Ana Patrícia made a remarkable return to the international stage at the Beach Pro Tour Elite16 in Montreal, showcasing their dominance with a perfect run through pool play. After a break due to Ana Patrícia’s injury, the Brazilian duo appeared revitalized, winning all three of their matches without conceding a set.

Their campaign at Parc Jean-Drapeau began with a commanding 2-0 (21-15, 21-15) victory over Australia’s Elizabeth Alchin and Georgia Johnson. They followed it with another impressive 2-0 (21-18, 21-12) win, overpowering their fellow Brazilians and current world ranking leaders Thamela Coradello and Victoria Lopes.

This marked performance comes at a critical juncture, as the pair had missed the final stretch of the 2024 season, including three key Elite16 events. Now, fully recovered, they seem poised to chase another podium finish as they head into the elimination rounds.

Alongside Duda and Ana Patrícia, the following teams also topped their pools and advanced directly to the quarterfinals:

  • Svenja Müller and Cinja Tillmann (Germany)
  • Daniela Álvarez and Tania Moreno (Spain)
  • Brandie Wilkerson and Melissa Humana-Paredes (Canada)

Still in Contention

Eight additional teams from the USA, Switzerland, Austria, and beyond must now compete in Saturday’s Round of 12 for the final spots in the quarterfinals.
