Dutch, Czech, and Austrian Teams Triumph with FIVB Support in Beach Volleyball Events

Six beach volleyball teams from the Netherlands, Czechia, and Austria have delivered strong performances at zonal tournaments across Europe, highlighting the impact of the FIVB Volleyball Empowerment program. This initiative has provided vital funding and coaching to develop national teams and enhance competitiveness on the global stage.

The Netherlands received USD 217,600 in FIVB coaching resources, helping their teams train under expert coach Antreas Savvidis. Austria's federation benefited from USD 84,000 in similar support, which translated into competitive results at the MEVZA zonal event.

The Bibinje event alone featured 51 teams (27 women’s, 24 men’s) from eight countries: Austria, Croatia, Czechia, Hungary, Israel, Luxembourg, Slovakia, and Slovenia—demonstrating the broad competitive field nurtured by strategic development and support.
