Morocco and Mozambique showcased exceptional performances at the 2026 CAVB Africa Beach Volleyball Continental Senior Championships held in Alexandria, Egypt. These teams secured three out of the six possible medals, significantly benefitting from the support provided by the FIVB Volleyball Empowerment Programme. Owing to this success, Morocco qualified for the upcoming Olympic Games set to take place in Los Angeles in 2028.
Men's Competition
In the men's category, the Moroccan pair comprising Zouheir Elgraoui and Soufiane El Gharouti clinched victory by defeating Algeria's Kallouche Mohamed-Islem and Ayyoub Dekkiche in straight sets. This victory marks Morocco's fifth consecutive men's African title, solidifying their dominance in the continent.
Women's Competition
The Moroccan women's team, with players Alexandra Erhart and Nora Nezha Jihane Darrhar, secured a silver medal after a strong performance. They faced Nigeria's Esther Onyinye Mbah and Pamela Miyoum Bawa in the final match.
