Swiss Duo Krattiger and Dillier Stun World Champions in Gstaad

Swiss duo Marco Krattiger and Leo Dillier delivered a stunning performance at the Beach Pro Tour Elite16 in Gstaad by defeating defending world champions Ondřej Perušič and David Schweiner from Czechia. Cheered on by their home crowd, the Swiss pair made a strong impression during their first appearance at an Elite16 event.

Krattiger and Dillier came into the tournament with confidence after recently capturing gold at the Warmia Mazury Challenge. After making it through the qualifiers, they started pool play by defeating fellow Swiss players Quentin Métral and Michiel Zandbergen in straight sets.

The highlight came in their second match, where they edged the Czech champions in a thrilling three-set encounter: 21-19, 14-21, 15-12. This win not only boosted their standing but also confirmed their status as rising stars in international beach volleyball.

By winning their first two matches, the pair secured a place in the Round of 18. A victory in their final pool match against Brazil's Evandro Gonçalves and Arthur Lanci could advance them directly to the Round of 12.
