The vibrant coastal city of Alanya in Türkiye is set to host the Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour once again. From June 10 to 14, the Alanya Challenge will feature top-tier beach volleyball as teams compete in a 32-team main draw, promising intense action from the outset.
Back to defend their title are Swiss sisters Anouk and Zoe Verge-Depre, last year's champions. Ranked tenth in the FIVB World Ranking, they're eager to secure their first podium finish of the 2026 season. Anouk, an experienced Olympian, claimed bronze at Tokyo 2020, while Zoe showcased her skills at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
Joining the competition are Swiss teammates Joana Mader and rising star Leona Kernen, currently leading in entry points. The French duo of Clemence Vieira and Aline Chamereau, who took bronze in Alanya last year, are also returning. They're aiming for their first podium finish of this season. Other key players include European champion Tetiana Lazarenko of Ukraine and U.S. pair Savannah Cory and Devon Newberry, who recently tasted success in Brasilia.
The tournament starts with qualification rounds on Wednesday, followed by the main draw on Thursday. Teams will compete in modified pool play before advancing to single-elimination rounds. The quarterfinals, semifinals, and medal matches will conclude the event.
