Brazilian duo Thamela Coradello and Victoria Lopes have ascended to the number one spot in the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Rankings, marking a career milestone as they lead the global leaderboard for the first time.
Their rise comes after a strategic shift in rankings due to point expirations from last season's events. Germany’s Svenja Müller and Cinja Tillmann dropped to third, ending their 11-week reign following the loss of points from their Espinho Elite16 performance. Thamela and Victoria maintained their position with 6,820 points, ensuring their takeover at the summit.
