The men’s knockout stage of the 2025 FIVB U21 Beach Volleyball World Championships is officially set following the conclusion of pool play in Cholula, Puebla. With elite performances and rising tension on the courts, the tournament now shifts into high-stakes elimination rounds.
Top Qualifiers Advance to Round of 16
Eight teams advanced directly to the round of 16 by winning their pools. The nations represented in these top-finishing teams are:
- Mexico
- Norway
- Latvia
- Iran
- Italy
- Germany
- Brazil
- United States
Among the standout performances were Malachi Brewington and Titus Lance from the U.S., who dominated Pool H without losing a set. Mexico’s own Antonio Lares and Carlos Andres Ayala also made a strong impression by defeating Canada to take first place in Pool A.
Battle for Remaining Spots
Sixteen other teams that finished second and third in their pools will now compete for the remaining knockout stage berths. This group includes:
- Poland’s U19 world champions Szymon Pietraszek and Jakub Krzeminski
- Germany’s Tristan Frobel and Tamo Wust
Germany’s duo made headlines by winning a tough battle in Pool F to qualify. A key highlight of the tournament so far was Mozambique defeating Egypt in a tight three-set match in Pool H, keeping their qualification hopes alive.

Saturday’s schedule will feature three full rounds of knockout matches, culminating in Sunday’s highly anticipated semifinal clashes. Participating nations still in the hunt include Belgium, Chile, China, and Ukraine. The competition continues to showcase the depth of global youth talent.
