World Champs Perušič and Schweiner Triumph Again at Alanya Challenge

Reigning world champions Ondřej Perušič and David Schweiner continued their stellar campaign on the 2025 Beach Pro Tour by capturing gold at the Alanya Challenge in Türkiye. The Czech pair outperformed the French duo of Téo Rotar and Arnaud Gauthier-Rat in the final with a dominant straight sets win (21-13, 23-21).

The victory at the Beach Sports Center in Alanya marks their third podium finish of the season. They previously secured gold at the Yucatán Challenge in March and earned bronze at the Ostrava Elite tournament earlier this month.

This momentum further cements their reputation as top contenders for the upcoming World Championship in Australia later this year.

Highlights from the Podium

  • France’s Rotar and Gauthier-Rat added a silver to their season tally, following a bronze from the Xiamen Challenge last month, showcasing consistent high-level performance.
  • Brazilian team George Wanderley and Saymon Barbosa fought their way from qualification rounds to clinch bronze. They bested Australian Olympians Mark Nicolaidis and Izac Carracher in straight sets (21-16, 21-19).
