The 2025 FIVB U18 Beach Volleyball World Championships concluded successfully in Doha, Qatar, from October 7 to 11, delivering a showcase of emerging talent in international youth beach volleyball. This year’s event was notable for shifting from U19 to a newly introduced U18 age category, attracting an enthusiastic turnout of 87 teams—comprising 43 girls’ and 44 boys’ pairs—representing 42 national federations.
USA Shines in Girls’ Division
American duo Jordyn Scribner and Ella Grimes dominated the girls’ competition with an undefeated run of nine straight victories—all without losing a single set. Notably starting from the qualifications and seeded 32nd in the main bracket, they overcame top-seeded teams, including fellow Americans Avery and Addison Junk in the final. Their win marked the USA’s fourth all-time gold in this event.
Meanwhile, Belgium’s Lente Thant and Simone Vervloet earned the bronze medal—Belgium’s first-ever podium finish at this level of youth beach volleyball.
Norway Captures Boys’ Gold
Norwegian athletes Ludvig Ringoen and Sebastian Kjemperud mirrored the Americans’ success in the boys’ division. Also starting from qualifiers, they won nine out of ten matches. In the final, they confidently defeated Germany’s Jonathan Bungert and Filo Wust in straight sets to secure the gold medal. Italy’s Riccardo Santomassimo and Marco Di Felice took home the bronze.
