American beach volleyball teams delivered a commanding performance at the 2025 Pompano Beach Futures, a key event on the Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour. Held in Florida, the competition concluded with both the U.S. men's and women's teams capturing gold medals in front of a home crowd.
Men’s Division Results
The American duo of Miles Partain and Travis Mewhirter emerged victorious in the men’s competition. They dominated from start to finish, going undefeated and dropping just one set throughout the tournament. Their gold medal match concluded in straight sets with scores of 21-15, 22-20 against Germany’s Tristan Frobel and Tamo Wust.
Other podium finishers included:
- Silver: Tristan Frobel / Tamo Wust (Germany)
- Bronze: Gustavs Auzins / Ernests Puskundzis (Latvia)
This marked Partain’s third Beach Pro Tour gold and a career-first medal for Mewhirter.
Women’s Division Results
On the women’s side, Americans Kamila Tan and Natalie Myszkowski also stayed unbeaten. They narrowly defeated Spain’s Nazaret Florian and Adriana Serrano in a hard-fought final (21-17, 18-21, 15-10).
The bronze medal match saw another American duo, Maya Gessner and Carly Kan, take down Canada’s Maya McNabney and Emma Kunaus in straight sets.
Global Participation and What’s Next
The tournament featured a strong international lineup with 28 men’s and 28 women’s teams from 25 federations across all continental confederations. This diversity underscored the global appeal and competitiveness of beach volleyball.
The Beach Pro Tour now heads to Cape Verde’s Laginha Beach from December 11 to 14 for the next Futures event.
