Brazilians Thamela and Victoria Triumph at Saquarema Beach Volleyball Event

Brazilian beach volleyball duo Thamela Coradello and Victoria Lopes showcased their talent with an impressive victory at the Beach Pro Tour Elite16 event in Saquarema. Battling through a fiercely contested final, they outlasted Americans Kristen Nuss and Taryn Brasher in three sets, winning 2-1 (21-19, 16-21, 15-10).

This gold marks their second Elite16 title as a team, reflecting a rapid rise since their partnership began in July. Their journey has included:

  • Two gold medals
  • Two bronze medals
  • Four podium finishes in six events

Just one week prior, Thamela and Victoria triumphed at a domestic tournament in the same city, reinforcing their momentum and consistency as a duo.

The American pairing of Nuss and Brasher also maintained their exceptional form. With this silver, they have now hit the podium in six straight tournaments:

  1. Three gold medals
  2. Two silvers
  3. One bronze

Meanwhile, Germany’s top-seeded pair Svenja Müller and Cinja Tillmann secured bronze after defeating Americans Kelly Cheng and Molly Shaw 21-16, 21-16. This is their first medal of the 2025 season and their eighth overall on the Pro Tour.

The Beach Pro Tour now moves to Brasília for another Elite16 event between April 16–20. Fans can follow ongoing updates and results on the official Volleyball World website.
