Champions Emerge Victorious at Kenya Beach Volleyball Event in Migori

The Kenya Beach Volleyball Tour made its latest stop at Muhuru Bay beach in Migori County from December 6–7, spotlighting the dynamic and evolving world of Kenyan beach volleyball. The event concluded with exceptional displays of strength and skill from both the men's and women's undefeated champions.

Men’s Champions: Muliro and Mayen Dominate

Joseph Muliro and Ayuen Mach Mayen remained unbeaten throughout the tournament. In a commanding final performance, they outmatched Charles Momanyi Bosire and Timon Kimutai with an emphatic 21-14, 21-11 victory. They clinched the title by winning all five of their matches without dropping a set.

In the battle for bronze, Jairus Kipkosgei and Denis Esokon made a solid comeback to defeat Samson Kiptoo and Derick Kipchumba 2-1 (16-21, 21-15, 15-10).

Women’s Champions: Gambo and Ochieng Go Unchallenged

The women’s contest mirrored the dominance seen in the men's bracket. Angelina Gambo and Melany Ochieng topped the podium after racking up four straight-set victories, underlining their command on the sand. Selina and Akoth settled for silver after falling to the unstoppable duo in the final.

The bronze medal went to Vivian Aoko and Grasha Akinyi, who edged past Beryl Achieng and Herryl Whynslet 2-1 (17-21, 21-13, 15-12) in a fiercely contested match.
