The Canadian duo triumphed in a challenging three-set match against Italy’s Giada Bianchi and Claudia Scampoli, finishing with scores of 2-1 (21-14, 17-21, 15-8).

This victory marked their first competitive appearance since December and gave them a key advantage in Pool F as they edge closer to the Round of 12. Their next match will be against Latvia’s Tina Graudina and Anastasija Samoilova, who also secured a strong opening win by defeating Brazil’s Talita Calixto and Thainara Feitosa in straight sets.
