Mol and Sørum Triumph Again at Saquarema Elite Beach Volleyball Event

Norwegian duo Anders Mol and Christian Sørum have clinched their second straight title at the Saquarema Elite Beach Volleyball event. Their skill and determination were clear as they dominated the Brazilian sands once again. The Tokyo Olympic champions celebrated victory on the Beach Pro Tour Elite by defeating Swedish silver medalists Jacob Hölting Nilsson and Elmer Andersson in two sets (21-16, 23-21).

Mol and Sørum, often called the Beach Volley Vikings, excel in Brazil. This marks their third consecutive season victory in the country, adding to wins in João Pessoa in 2024 and Saquarema in 2025. Their consistent success in Saquarema strengthens their position as champions on the Beach Pro Tour circuit.

In the men's competition, Latvians Martins Plavins and Kristians Fokerots took the bronze. They triumphed over French competitors Rémi Daubas and Calvin Aye in a fierce match (21-16, 17-21, 15-13).

The women’s competition saw the American pair Taryn Brasher and Kristen Cruz celebrate in Saquarema. They secured their fourth gold medal in Brazil with a solid win (21-15, 21-15) against Canadian Olympic silver medalists Brandie Wilkerson and Melissa Humana-Paredes.

The Beach Pro Tour Elite will continue its Brazilian journey with the next event in Brasília, set from April 29 to May 3, 2026. Teams will once more compete on the country's famous beaches.
