Moroccan and Omani Teams Triumph at Arab Beach Volleyball Championships

Morocco and Oman emerged victorious at the Arab Beach Volleyball Championships, with each country taking gold in the women’s and men’s tournaments respectively. The competition, hosted in Oman, showcased top performances from 18 teams representing nine different Arab nations.

Women's Tournament Highlights

Morocco’s women’s team, composed of Mahassine Siad and Imane Yakki, delivered a dominant performance by winning all six of their matches without losing a single set. In the final, they overcame Lebanon’s Mirna Cheikho and Lara Al Nahi with a decisive 2-0 victory (21-15, 21-11).

Lebanon had earlier secured their place in the final with a strong win over Algeria’s Chahla Benmokhtar and Hassaine Ikram. However, Algeria bounced back to claim bronze by defeating Saudi Arabia in the third-place match.

Men's Tournament Drama

On the men's side, hosts Oman celebrated a thrilling gold medal finish. The duo of Hood Al Jalaboubi and Ahmed Alhousni triumphed in a dramatic three-set battle (21-18, 35-37, 18-16) against Tunisia’s Adem Elmeddeb and Mohamed Aziz Lenglize.

Algeria secured the third-place spot through Kallouche Mohamed-Islem and Souadi Mohamed, who defeated Oman’s second team, Nouh Al-Jalbubi and Yousef Al Abri, in the bronze match.
