New Champions Emerge at Krakow Beach Pro Tour

Beach volleyball fans witnessed exhilarating action in Krakow as Ukraine’s Ivan Datsiuk and Oleksii Bublyk and Italy’s Margherita Tega and Aurora Mattavelli claimed their first gold medals on the Volleyball Beach Pro Tour. Part of the 2026 circuit, the Krakow Futures spotlighted fresh talent leaving a lasting impression on an international audience.

Datsiuk and Bublyk, strong contenders despite being seeded second, defeated Poland's Jakub Krzeminski and Aleksander Czachorowski in a straight-set final. This win marks their second podium appearance on the tour, adding to their bronze medal from the Balikesir Futures.

In the women’s bracket, Tega and Mattavelli, seeded eighth, lost only one set throughout their matches. Their victory over Lithuania's Daniele Kvedaraite and Jekaterina Saule confirmed their rising status as fierce competitors in the circuit.

The Polish teams performed admirably. Krzeminski and Czachorowski secured silver, while experienced players Piotr Janiak and Jedrzej Brozyniak earned another bronze. For the women, Czech pair Anna Pospisilova and Julie Honzovicova achieved third place, with Honzovicova marking her first Beach Pro Tour medal.

The event attracted 28 men’s and 28 women’s teams from 22 countries, showcasing the tour’s wide-reaching appeal. After Krakow, the Beach Pro Tour will move to Jurmala, Latvia, and Spiez, Switzerland, as the quest for volleyball excellence intensifies across Europe.
