Rising Stars Emerge at Beach Volleyball Junior Pan Am Trials

Canada's rising stars in beach volleyball made a powerful impression at the 2025 Junior Pan American Games Trials, held at Ashbridges Bay in Toronto. Young athletes from across the nation competed for spots on Team Canada, with the winning teams now one step closer to representing the country on an international platform.

In a thrilling women’s final, Sophia Hladyniuk from London, ON and Jaeya Brach from Vancouver, BC triumphed over teammates Khol and Sek in a hard-fought three-set match. The men’s final captivated spectators as well, with David Chaput (Sherbrooke, QC) and Cameron McGregor (Toronto, ON) edging out Lash and Venning in an equally tight contest.

These victories have earned both winning duos a nomination by Volleyball Canada to compete at the 2025 Junior Pan American Games in Asunción, Paraguay, slated for August 9–23. However, final team selections will be made by the Canadian Olympic Committee Team Selection Committee.
