Swiss Duo Krattiger and Dillier Stage Epic Comeback for First Victory Together

Marco Krattiger and Leo Dillier delivered a remarkable performance at the 2025 Beach Pro Tour, clinching their first gold medal together after a thrilling comeback victory. Competing at the Challenge event in Warmia Mazury, Poland, the Swiss duo rebounded from a 13-6 deficit in the final set to defeat Polish Olympians Michal Bryl and Bartosz Łosiak in front of their home crowd.

The final score of the captivating match was 2-1 (25-23, 16-21, 16-14), marking an incredible rally under intense pressure. This victory continues a productive season for Krattiger and Dillier, who already earned:

  • Silver medals in Xiamen and Spiez
  • A bronze medal in Valencia

Their path to the final included a semifinal walkover against Olympic champions David Åhman and Jonatan Hellvig, allowing the Swiss team to conserve energy for the demanding title match. The win meant that Bryl and Łosiak, despite being driven by home support at the Anders Hotel Beach, missed out on a podium finish.

Germany’s Paul Henning and Lui Wüst secured the bronze medal by default, as Åhman and Hellvig were unable to participate in the playoff.

Looking ahead, the Beach Pro Tour now shifts focus to the Elite competition in Gstaad, Switzerland, and the next Challenge event in Brazil, scheduled for September 3 to 9.
