Champions Emerge at Budapest Futures Beach Volleyball Event

The 2025 Budapest Futures Beach Volleyball tournament concluded with standout performances from **Norway** and **Czechia**, as their teams secured gold medals in both the men's and women's events respectively. The competition, part of the Beach Pro Tour, showcased emerging talent and international participation.

Norwegian Men Triumph in Unbeaten Run

Norway’s Nils Gunnar Ringoen and Even Stray Aas, the eighth-seeded pair, went on an undefeated run, capturing five consecutive wins to secure their first tour title. In the final, they edged out the Dutch fifth-seeded duo, Tom Sonneville and Quinten Groenewold, in a close 2-1 match. Their semifinal victory came against local Hungarian players Artur Hajos and Bence Attila Streli. Due to a forfeit by Dutch pair Yannick Verberne and Leon Luini, Hajos and Streli were awarded the bronze medal.

Czech Women’s Team Dominates

In the women's bracket, Czechia’s Veronika Kleiblova and Andrea Lorenzova, seeded ninth, dropped just one set throughout the tournament. They defeated Lithuania’s previously unbeaten Ieva Dumbauskaite and Gerda Grudzinskaite in a convincing 2-0 final match. This silver marks Lithuania’s third of the season. Spain’s newcomers Ana Vergara and Nazaret Florian earned bronze in their debut as a duo at the Beach Pro Tour.
