Arnas Rumsevicius and Karolis Palubinskas made history for Lithuania by capturing their maiden gold medal on the Beach Pro Tour at the 2025 Warsaw Futures in Poland. For the 20-year-old Palubinskas, this success not only signifies his first gold but also marks his debut medal on the international circuit. His teammate Rumsevicius added this top prize to his growing collection, having previously claimed a bronze.
The fourth-seeded pair started with a setback—an early loss to Estonia’s Mart Tiisaar and Dimitriy Korotkov. However, they stormed back with five straight wins. The highlight was a hard-fought semifinal win against Czech duo Krystof Jan Oliva and Vaclav Kurka, edging them 22-20, 24-22 to advance.
The final match was decided by a walkover, as Ukrainian finalists Anton Moiseiev and Vitalii Savvin withdrew due to injury. The Ukrainians had been strong contenders, entering as 10th seeds and winning all their matches up to the final without dropping a set. Their campaign included a tight semifinal victory over the Estonians (25-23, 23-21), sealing them a respectable silver—matching their runner-up result at the Marica Futures.
Bronze and Highlights
Tiisaar and Korotkov of Estonia earned the bronze medal after a thrilling 2-1 (21-19, 20-22, 15-13) showdown against the Czech team. This marked the Estonian pair’s first shared medal on the Beach Pro Tour.
