The latest leg of the Kenya Beach Volleyball Tour concluded on the sandy courts of Muhuru Bay Beach in Migori with dominant performances from both the men’s and women’s winning teams. Held on December 6 and 7, the event showcased rising local talent while reinforcing the strength of Kenya’s top beach volleyball pairs.

Men’s Tournament Highlights

Joseph Muliro and Ayuen Mach Mayen delivered a near-perfect performance to take home the title. They convincingly beat Charles Momanyi Bosire and Timon Kimutai in the finals with scores of 21-14 and 21-11. Their journey to the championship included:

The men’s bronze medal match was a thrilling comeback, with Jairus Kipkosgei and Denis Esokon overcoming a one-set deficit to defeat Samson Kiptoo and Derick Kipchumba (16-21, 21-15, 15-10).

In the women’s category, Angelina Gambo and Melany Ochieng mirrored the men’s champions by dominating every match without dropping a set. They clinched the final match 21-10, 21-10 against Selina and Akoth.

For the bronze, Vivian Aoko and Grasha Akinyi emerged victorious in one of the tournament's most closely contested matches, overcoming Beryl Achieng and Herryl Whynslet (17-21, 21-13, 15-12).
