Cherif & Ahmed Climb World Rankings with Xiamen Triumph

Qatar’s beach volleyball duo Cherif Younousse and Ahmed Tijan have made a dynamic return to the top 10 in the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Ranking following their commanding victory at the 2025 Xiamen Challenge. With this win, they now sit at No. 7, their best position since November 2023.

The pair earned 480 ranking points out of a possible 800 at the Xiamen Challenge, part of the 2025 Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour. This performance elevated their total to 5,260 points, allowing them to surpass elite teams from Poland, the Netherlands, and Norway. The gold also marks their first tour victory since October 2022, when they triumphed at the Maldives Challenge.
