China Dominates Pingtan Beach Volleyball Event with Four Medals

China demonstrated its strength in beach volleyball at the Pingtan Futures Beach Volleyball event by clinching four out of the six available medals. This event, part of the Beach Pro Tour, showcased both the men’s and women’s Chinese teams delivering spectacular performances on their home turf.

In the women's tournament, the duo of Jiang Kaiyue and Zhou Mingli claimed the gold medal in a series of exceptional matches where they did not drop a single set. They secured victory with a decisive win over their compatriot team, Yu Tong and Aheidan Mushajiang, who earned the silver medal. The American team of Katie Horton and Jordan Boulware completed the podium by securing the bronze.

China's men’s teams displayed their prowess as well, with Wu Jiaxin and Zhou Chaowei capturing the gold medal. They overcame a tough challenge from Brazil's Joaquim Brandao and Lucas Sotelle, who took the silver. The bronze medal was secured by another Chinese team, Liu Yuan and Mao Yuan, highlighting the depth of talent in Chinese beach volleyball.

The tournament saw participation from 21 women’s and 24 men’s pairs from 15 federations, indicating broad international involvement. Looking ahead, the next event on the Beach Pro Tour is the Busan Futures, scheduled to take place in Korea from August 13 to 16, 2026.
