Italian beach volleyball duo Valentina Gottardi and Reka Orsi Toth have reached a career milestone by rising to joint third place in the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Ranking. This follows their impressive gold medal performance at the Hamburg Elite16 tournament, part of the Beach Pro Tour.

Their Hamburg victory brought in 1,200 ranking points, of which 1,008 were added to their total rankings. This lifted them from seventh to third place, where they now share a 6,060-point total with Latvia's Tina Graudina and Anastasija Samoilova, who reached the quarterfinals in Hamburg.

Women's Rankings Highlights

  • Brazil's Thamela Coradello and Victoria Lopes lead the rankings with 7,980 points, after finishing as runners-up in Hamburg.
  • Fellow Brazilians Carol Solberg and Rebecca Cavalcanti are second with 6,280 points.
  • Olympic champions Ana Patricia Ramos and Eduarda Santos Lisboa jumped from 33rd to 14th after earning the bronze medal.
  • Germany's Svenja Muller and Cinja Tillmann moved up to fifth place thanks to a strong fourth-place showing on their home turf.

The top 10 features a diverse mix of teams from Austria, Switzerland, the United States, and France, illustrating the growing international depth and competitiveness of women's beach volleyball.

Men's Rankings Update

In the men's field, Norway’s Anders Mol and Christian Sorum increased their lead at the top by clinching victory in Hamburg. They now hold a commanding 1,360-point advantage over Sweden’s David Ahman and Jonatan Hellvig, who are ranked second.

This latest shuffle in the rankings underscores the global nature of beach volleyball, with European and South American pairs consistently pushing the standard higher across international tournaments.
