The sixth leg of the 2025 NORCECA Beach Volleyball Tour in Manzanillo showcased the dominance of Mexico, Puerto Rico, and Canada, as these nations clinched four out of six medals across both men's and women's competitions.
Standout Moments from the Manzanillo Tournament
In the men’s final, Mexico’s José Ángel Cárdenas and Jorman Osuna thrilled the home crowd by defeating Canada’s Robert Kemp and Cameron Chadwick in straight sets (21-16, 21-19). This victory marked Osuna’s fourth podium finish of the current tour season. Costa Rica’s Julian Araya and Jhostin Varela rounded out the podium by overcoming the United States in a 2-0 bronze medal win.
On the women’s side, Puerto Rico’s María González and Allanis Navas continued their impressive run with their fourth gold medal of the season. They edged Canada’s Darby Dunn and Mikayla Law-Heese in a tight three-set finale (21-15, 18-21, 15-12). The bronze went to Mexico’s Susana Torres and Atenas Gutierrez, who rebounded from a semifinal loss to defeat Canadian duo Akash Grewal and Katarina Pantovic in straight sets.

The NORCECA Beach Volleyball Tour will remain in Mexico for its seventh event, moving to Guadalajara from September 5 to 7.
