International Duos Triumph at Sanya Futures Beach Volleyball Event

The Sanya Futures Beach Volleyball event in China featured outstanding performances from international teams, with notable successes by Japan, Germany, and Sweden. As part of the Beach Pro Tour, the competition highlighted the achievements of teams from these countries, with Japan and Germany capturing gold medals, while Sweden earned silver.

In the women's category, Japan’s duo, Miki Ishii and Mayu Kikuchi, emerged victorious against local contenders Yu Tong and Qi Siyu. This triumph marked their first podium finish, achieving an impressive 5-1 record.

Germany's Niklas Held and Luis Kubo excelled in the men's category, securing gold with an unbeaten streak from qualifiers to the final. Sweden’s Theodor Grahn and Linus Isaksson were awarded silver, and Poland’s Aleksander Czachorowski and Jakub Krzeminski took home the bronze.

The event attracted 20 women’s and 28 men’s teams from 14 national federations, underscoring the sport's global appeal and competitive nature. Sanya Futures is part of FIVB's initiative to expand volleyball globally through strategic funding and coaching efforts. The Beach Pro Tour promises more thrilling action, with upcoming events in Coolangatta, Australia, and Haikou, China.
