Norwegian beach volleyball powerhouses Anders Mol and Christian Sørum continued their dominance on the international circuit by capturing their third gold medal in Hamburg at the 2025 Hamburg Elite16. The duo maintained an undefeated streak throughout the tournament and clinched the title with a confident straight-sets victory (25-23, 21-14) over Poland’s Michal Bryl and Bartosz Łosiak in the final.
This triumph marks their fifth career medal in Hamburg and adds to a stellar August performance, during which they secured:
- Gold at the European Championship
- Gold at the Montréal Elite16
- 17 wins in 18 matches overall
Mol and Sørum’s consistent excellence continues to solidify their status among the greatest teams in the sport’s history.
Meanwhile, in the bronze medal match, Dutch pair Stefan Boermans and Yorick de Groot repeated their third-place finish from last year’s event. They achieved a strong straight-sets win (21-16, 21-10) over Latvia’s Martins Plavins and Kristians Fokerots. This marks their fourth medal in five Elite-level tournaments this season:
- Gold in Brasília
- Bronze in Saquarema
- Bronze in Gstaad
- Bronze in Hamburg
The Hamburg event was the seventh Elite-level competition hosted by the city as part of the 2025 Beach Pro Tour. Fans can now look forward to the next stop in João Pessoa, Brazil, scheduled from September 17 to 21.
