Utrecht Hosts Thrilling Beach Volleyball Showdown: Queen & King of the Court

Utrecht is set to become the epicenter of beach volleyball excitement as it hosts the 2025 Queen & King of the Court tournament from June 19 to 22 at Jaarbeursplein. This innovative competition format diverges from standard volleyball events, promising fast-paced action and dynamic matchups featuring elite international talent.

Elite Players Compete in Unique Format

The event will showcase top-tier athletes, including Olympic medalists and world champions, in both men's and women’s brackets. Returning Dutch favorites such as Brouwer & Van de Velde and Boermans & De Groot are expected to draw strong local support. Sweden’s Jonatan Hellvig joins forces with Alex Nilsson in the absence of partner David Åhman, while fan-favorite duo Samoilovs & André reunite for what will be Samoilovs’ farewell appearance.

Strong Representation in Women’s Division

In the women’s competition, Dutch teams will be prominent. The rising pair Konink & Schoon are set to debut, while veterans Van Driel & Bekhuis aim for a home victory. International talents from Brazil, Australia, and New Zealand, including Vitoria & Hegeile and Clancy & Milutinovic, are among the fiercest contenders.
