Brazilian beach volleyball players Guto Carvalhaes and Vitor Felipe have secured a place in the main draw of the 2025 Beach Pro Tour Challenge held in Warmia Mazury, Poland, with a strong showing in the qualifying rounds.
After three earlier unsuccessful qualification attempts this season, the duo finally broke through with solid performances on the Anders Hotel Beach courts. Their path to the main stage began with a tough three-set victory over Lithuania's Robert Juchnevic and Artur Vasiljev, followed by a straight-sets win over Norway’s Markus and Adrian Mol.
This achievement places them in Pool D, where they will compete against:
- Pedro Oliveira and Renato Lima (Brazil)
- Rémi Bassereau and Calvin Aye (France)
- Marco Krattiger and Leo Dillier (Switzerland)
Guto and Vitor’s first match in pool play is against their Brazilian teammates Oliveira and Lima as they aim to make a deep run in the tournament.
In addition to Guto and Vitor, other teams that emerged from the qualifiers include representatives from:
- United States
- Israel
- Brazil (more teams)
- Italy
- Australia
- Czechia
- Ukraine
On the women's side, both Australian teams progressed from the qualifiers and will join other international teams from nations including:
- Ukraine
- New Zealand
- Czechia
- Lithuania
- Japan
- Poland (host)
Pool play continues through Friday and will be followed by the elimination rounds over the weekend. Fans can look forward to the medal matches, which are scheduled for Sunday.
