The 2025 Veracruz Challenge is drawing elite beach volleyball talent to Mexico’s Gulf coast from October 1–5, showcasing the sixth Challenge-level stop of the season. This major stop on the Beach Pro Tour brings together a compelling mix of seasoned veterans and emerging stars, contributing to what promises to be an electrifying competition.

Strong International Field

The main draw includes 32 men's teams, with 24 already qualified and the final 8 spots to be determined during the Wednesday qualification rounds. Among the high-profile teams:

  • Brazil’s George Wanderley and Saymon Barbosa — aiming for the podium after a promising earlier performance this season.
  • Austria’s Timo Hammarberg and Tim Berger — seeded at the top and ranked 17th globally with a recent Elite16 quarterfinal finish.
  • American Olympians Miles Evans and Chase Budinger adding formidable depth to the field.
  • Portugal’s Joao Pedrosa and Hugo Campos — Challenge bronze medalists from March.
  • Chile’s Marco and Esteban Grimalt bringing sibling synergy and experience.
