The CEV U18 Beach Volleyball European Championships concluded with remarkable victories for young athletes from Austria and the Netherlands. The event, hosted in Izmir, Turkiye, witnessed Austria’s Paul Hohenauer and Martin Poinstingl, as well as the Netherlands’ Jara Both and Matilda de Groot, earning the top honors in their respective categories. These achievements are largely attributed to the FIVB Volleyball Empowerment program, which plays a pivotal role in nurturing volleyball talent.

The tournament featured 35 men's teams and an equal number of women's teams, all competing fiercely for the championship title. The Austrian team displayed exceptional skills, managing to triumph over France in the final with straight set scores of 27-25 and 21-19. Meanwhile, the Dutch duo showcased impressive form, dropping only one set throughout the tournament, and secured their gold medal by overpowering Ukraine with scores of 21-19 and 21-14 in the final.

Silver medals were claimed by France's Adrien Bezu and Quentin Hypolyte, along with Ukraine’s Mariia Shkurat and Marharyta Vapniar. German teams earned bronze after delivering strong performances against challenging opponents.

These championships underscore the essential role of targeted support by FIVB initiatives, crucial for the development of national beach volleyball programs.
