The tournament showcases top international teams, and Cheng and Kraft now advance to meet three other pairs in the medal rounds. Their success places them among another American duo and leading teams from Brazil and Italy.

Cheng, the 2023 world champion, paired with Kraft, whose 2025 season saw three podium finishes in the Beach Pro Tour. They kept their winning streak by overcoming Paraguayan Olympians Michelle Valiente and Giuliana Corrales in a thrilling 2-1 quarterfinal match.
