Chinese Teams Dominate Pingtan Beach Volleyball Futures

Chinese teams excelled at the Pingtan Futures on the Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour, capturing four out of the six podium spots available. This exemplary performance underscores China's increasing prominence in beach volleyball.

In the women's tournament, the duo of Jiang Kaiyue and Zhou Mingli triumphed by winning the gold medal. They remained undefeated throughout the competition, ultimately defeating fellow Chinese players Yu Tong and Aheidan Mushajiang in the final. The American team of Katie Horton and Jordan Boulware secured the bronze medal.

For the men's competition, Wu Jiaxin and Zhou Chaowei, who entered the tournament as top seeds, showed remarkable resilience and skill. They clinched victory in the final against Brazil's Joaquim Brandao (Juca) and Lucas Sotelle, who ended with a silver medal. The Chinese team of Liu Yuan and Mao Yuan finished the podium with a bronze.

The Pingtan Futures event attracted significant international participation, with 21 women's teams and 24 men's teams from 15 different federations, highlighting the sport's global appeal.
