The 2025 Queen & King of the Court indoor tournament concluded in London at the Crystal Palace National Sports Centre, showcasing world-class beach volleyball and the growing influence of the FIVB Empowerment initiative. National teams backed by Empowerment support programs delivered standout performances, particularly in both the women’s and men’s finals.

Women's Final Results

In the women’s division, the Dutch team of Katja Stam and Emi van Driel dominated the finals, securing the Queen’s crown with 15 points. Their consistent play outmatched top-tier competition:

  • Gold: Katja Stam / Emi van Driel (Netherlands) – 15 points
  • Silver: Taliqua Clancy / Stefanie Fejes (Australia) – 6 points
  • Bronze: Giuliana Poletti Corrales (Paraguay) / Lisa Luini (Netherlands) – 3 points

The Dutch women’s beach volleyball program received USD 217,600 in Empowerment funding, enhancing national efforts led by coach Antreas Savvidis. Australia’s team, under the leadership of Brad Tutton, benefited from USD 378,000 in support aimed at grassroots and elite development.

Men's Final Results

The men’s final saw Italy’s Manuel Alfieri and Alex Ranghieri achieve a perfect score of 15 points to secure the King’s title. The top three teams were:

  • Silver: Calvin Aye / Teo Rotar (France) – 9 points

France’s beach volleyball program received over USD 1 million through Empowerment funding, led by Brazilian coach Calvis Lopes. Meanwhile, Volleyball England benefited from USD 294,000 to support coaching and development strategies.

This event marked the first time the Queen & King of the Court series was hosted indoors, adding a new dynamic to the Crown Series, which is now headed for Helsinki.
