French Beach Volleyball Phenom Téo Rotar Aims for Olympic Glory

French beach volleyball player Téo Rotar is solidifying his status among the top athletes in the sport. With notable achievements under his belt, he's seen as a rising star. Alongside partner Arnaud Gauthier-Rat, Rotar secured a historic bronze at the 2025 FIVB Beach Volleyball World Championship in Adelaide. This win marked France's first medal since the tournament started in 1997.

Prior to this, Rotar won the U19 World title in 2021 and the U22 European Championship in 2025 with Arthur Canet. At 21, Rotar has quickly moved up the ranks and is now part of France's highest-ranked pair on the FIVB World Rankings with Gauthier-Rat. Shifting his training base to Toulouse and partnering with experienced individuals have been key in his progress. The pair showcased their skills with a thrilling win over Qatar's top team at the World Championship.

As Rotar eyes the 2026 season, his focus is on Olympic success, determined to enhance his skills and keep his competitive edge in beach volleyball. Fans can catch Rotar in action at the Beach Pro Tour Elite event in Saquarema, Brazil from April 8 to 12, 2026.
