Norwegian Duo Mol & Sorum Strike Gold Again at Hamburg Beach Pro Tour

Norway’s beach volleyball duo Anders Mol and Christian Sørum has once again proven why they are one of the top teams in the world. They captured their third Elite gold of the 2025 season at the Beach Pro Tour event in Hamburg, remaining unbeaten throughout their six matches.

Dominant Run in Hamburg

The top-ranked Norwegian pair sealed the title with a commanding 2-0 (25-23, 21-14) victory in the final over Poland’s Bartosz Losiak and Michal Bryl. Earlier in the tournament, Mol & Sørum cruised through with only one dropped set, including a 2-0 semifinal win against Latvia’s Martins Plavins and Kristians Fokerots.

Event Highlights

The Hamburg Elite event, hosted in Germany, featured:

  • 32 men’s teams and 31 women’s teams
  • Participants from 23 nations
  • Several Olympic-level competitors

With the help of FIVB Volleyball Empowerment support, the Norwegian duo continues to set the standard in men’s beach volleyball.

In the women’s tournament, Italy’s Valentina Gottardi and Reka Orsi Toth claimed their first Elite gold by defeating Brazil’s Thamela Coradello and Victoria Lopes in a 2-1 thriller. Brazilian Olympic champs Duda and Ana Patricia secured bronze with a victory over Germany’s Svenja Müller and Cinja Tillmann.

Looking Ahead

As Hamburg wraps up, the next stop on the tour will be João Pessoa, Brazil, taking place from September 17 to 21. With 14 Elite titles and 25 total medals on the Beach Pro Tour, the Norwegian pair continues to solidify their legacy in the sport.
