Nuss & Brasher Lead Global Beach Volleyball Rankings; Swedish Duo Closes In

Kristen Nuss and Taryn Brasher have achieved a milestone moment in their beach volleyball careers, ascending to the number one spot in the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Rankings. Their silver finish at the 2025 World Championship in Adelaide brought in 1,440 points, lifting their total to 8,200 and securing their place at the top for the first time.

Trailing closely behind are two Brazilian teams—Carol Solberg & Rebecca Cavalcanti and Thamela Coradello & Victoria Lopes—who are tied for second place with 8,000 points each. In fourth place are Latvian champions Tina Graudina & Anastasija Samoilova with 7,880 points.

Although they gained 1,440 points, the expiration of a prior 800-point score means a net gain of just 640 points—bringing their current total to 7,960. They are now within 100 points of world leaders Anders Mol & Christian Sorum from Norway.

Another Swedish duo, David Ahman & Jonatan Hellvig, currently holds third place with 7,760 points. Germany’s Nils Ehlers & Clemens Wickler re-entered the top 10 thanks to a fourth-place finish in Adelaide.
