Top beach volleyball Olympians have secured spots in the main draw at the Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour Yucatan Challenge, demonstrating the success of their new partnerships.
Strong Performances in Qualification
Italy’s Alex Ranghieri, a two-time Olympian, paired up with Manuel Alfieri and delivered a dominant performance, winning both their qualification matches. Brazilian player George Wanderley, who competed in the Paris 2024 Games, also showcased his skills alongside his new partner, Saymon Barbosa, securing a place in the 32-team main competition.
Swiss and Brazilian Teams Make an Impact
Switzerland’s Adrian Heidrich formed a new duo with Jonathan Jordan and won twice to advance. Yves Haussener and Julian Friedli also secured a spot, making them the second Swiss team in the main draw.
Brazil had a particularly strong showing, with four teams reaching the main draw:
