Switzerland is celebrating a significant achievement in beach volleyball as two Swiss women’s teams have advanced to the semifinals of the Beach Pro Tour Elite16 in Gstaad for the first time in over a decade.
Home Teams Secure Semifinal Spots
Olympic medalist Tanja Hüberli, now partnered with Leona Kernen for the 2025 season, will compete in their semifinal against Latvia's Tina Graudina and Anastasija Samoilova. Meanwhile, the sister duo Anouk and Zoé Vergé-Dépré will face the American defending champions Kristen Nuss and Taryn Brasher.
The semifinal matches are scheduled for Sunday, concluding with the gold medal clash at 16:00 local time. The last time Switzerland reached the podium in Gstaad’s women’s competition was in 2012, when Simone Kuhn and Nadine Zumkehr earned a bronze medal.

- Hüberli and Kernen bounced back from an earlier loss by defeating Americans Terese Cannon and Megan Kraft in straight sets.
