This marks the first time the city will host a Beach Pro Tour event, succeeding its role in organizing the FIVB U19 Beach Volleyball World Championships in 2024. Germany's Nils Ehlers is taking a leading role, coming off a silver medal win at the 2024 Paris Olympics. With a new partnership with 24-year-old Lui Wust, following Clemens Wickler’s injury, Ehlers is ready to compete in the demanding men's lineup. Other significant competitors include Austria's Alexander Horst, a four-time Olympian, and the top-seeded Australian duo Thomas Hodges and Ben Hood.

The event will host a 32-team main draw per gender, which begins with qualification rounds where eight teams will advance to join the 24 pre-seeded teams. The main draw kicks off with a modified pool play format, progressing to elimination rounds that conclude with the medal matches.
