Top international beach volleyball pairs have secured their positions in the main draw of the Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour held in Xiamen, China, after a series of intense qualification matches.
Among the most gripping encounters were:
- France’s Lezana Placette and Alexia Richard, top seeds and Paris 2024-bound Olympians, who clinched their place with a nail-biting three-set win against Romania’s Beata Vaida and Francesca Alupei.
- Germany’s Louisa Lippmann and Linda Bock, the second-seeded team, emerging victorious in a hard-fought match versus Chinese duo Aheidan Mushajiang and Kadeliye Halaiti.
Also advancing through the qualifiers were teams from the U.S., Canada, Germany, Lithuania, and Ukraine. Notable straight-set wins included:

One of the most surprising results came from Ukraine’s Yeva Serdiuk and Daria Romaniuk, who delivered a standout performance by eliminating the seventh-seeded New Zealand team of Shaunna Polley and Olivia MacDonald in straight sets.
With the qualifiers now concluded, a total of 32 women's teams are confirmed for the main draw, set to begin on Thursday morning in Xiamen. The event is part of the 2025 Beach Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour, promising fans a showcase of elite-level matches and electrifying talent on the sand.
