Trousil & Dzavoronok Strike Gold in Madrid Volleyball Debut

Tadeas Trousil and Matyas Dzavoronok delivered a stunning performance at the 2025 Madrid Futures, capturing beach volleyball gold in their debut as a team. Representing the Czech Republic, the duo made an immediate impact on the Beach Pro Tour by rising to the top of a fiercely competitive tournament featuring 28 men’s teams from 20 countries.

Despite an early setback—dropping their second pool-stage match and finishing second in their group—the Czech pair demonstrated exceptional resilience. They powered through the knockout rounds, concluding their title campaign with a commanding 2-0 (21-11, 21-19) victory over Norway’s Nils Ringoen and Even Aas.

The silver-medalists from Norway had a remarkable run themselves. Although ranked 11th, Ringoen and Aas overcame tough competition, including a stunning semifinal upset against Austria's Mathias Seiser and Laurenc Grossig. The Norwegian team endured three consecutive tie-break matches en route to the final but fell short against the dominant Czech duo.

Spain’s Alejandro and Javier Huerta took home the bronze medal after defeating the Austrians 2-0 (21-18, 21-19). As top seeds in Madrid, the Huerta brothers were aiming for a third gold in the series, following victories at Madrid 2023 and Valencia 2025. However, their campaign was cut short in the semifinals by the Czech champions.
