Poland’s Szymon Pietraszek and Jakub Krzeminski, the reigning U19 world champions, have successfully advanced to the main draw of the 2025 FIVB U21 Beach Volleyball World Championship held in Cholula, Puebla, Mexico.

The Polish duo showcased their resilience during the qualifiers. Despite dropping the first set in their opening match against Venezuela’s Jose Hernandez and Harrison Riveros, they bounced back impressively to win 2-1 (18-21, 21-12, 15-10). They followed that with a straight-set victory over Belgium’s Casper Willems and Alexy Humblet, taking the match 2-0 (21-16, 21-17) to secure a berth in the main event.

Joining Poland in the men’s main draw are national pairs from:

  • Italy: Andrea Sanguanini and Matteo Iurisci won both their matches in straight sets against teams from Latvia and Slovenia.
  • Norway: Even Stray Aas and Jonah Utvik triumphed over their Brazilian counterparts in the final qualifying round.
  • Ukraine: Dmytro Kozii and Sviatoslav Nahornyi edged out tough opponents from Germany and the Netherlands in consecutive close contests.
