Women's Beach Volleyball Stars Compete at Nayarit Challenge

The Nayarit Challenge, part of the Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour, brings excitement to Varadero Beach at the Nuevo Vallarta resort in Mexico. This event marks the third challenge of the 2026 season, assembling top women's beach volleyball teams from around the globe. Following the men's qualifiers on Wednesday, the women's teams leap into the main draw from Thursday to Sunday.

Without a preliminary qualifying phase, 32 women's teams compete directly in the main draw, featuring a structure of modified pool play. Teams are divided into eight pools, each with four teams. Initial games include semifinals, a losers' match, and a winners' match, determining standings within each pool. Third-place teams from each pool go head-to-head with runners-up from other pools in the sixteenth-final single elimination stage. Victorious teams advance to the eighth-final round, joining pool winners for intense matchups leading to the quarterfinals, semifinals, and the medal matches.
