Pedro Oliveira and Renato Lima have made a remarkable stride into the semifinals of the Beach Pro Tour Elite16 in Saquarema, Brazil, marking a significant milestone in just their second international tournament together.
The duo began their journey in the qualifiers and demonstrated exceptional determination, winning five out of six matches. Their path on Saturday featured a thrilling three-set win over Germany’s Sven Winter and Lukas Pfretzschner (17-21, 21-17, 15-13), followed by a commanding straight-set victory against Argentina’s Nicolas and Tomas Capogrosso (21-15, 21-16).
Next, Pedro (21) and Renato (25) face their toughest challenge yet against the top-seeded Norwegian pair, Anders Mol and Christian Sørum, in the semifinals. The Norwegians, who aim for their tenth consecutive semifinal appearance on the Beach Pro Tour, advanced after receiving a forfeit in the Round of 12 and then eliminating Winter and Pfretzschner in the quarterfinals.
Other Semifinal Matchup
In the other semifinal, Swedish Olympic champions David Åhman and Jonatan Hellvig are set to battle against the Netherlands’ Stefan Boermans and Yorick de Groot.

- Boermans and de Groot extended their unbeaten streak with convincing wins over both national and international opponents.
